Flowers for You

Today I offer you a bouquet of flowers that have popped up in my yard over the past month. They are all volunteers because I have less than no talent for gardening. Rather than a green thumb, I think I have a moldy thumb. When plants see me coming they wilt from fear!

These hardy flowers have honored me with their presence...and I have tried to stay out of their way. Bloom, babies, bloom!

White lilies

Lantana flowers (thanks to LindyLouMac at 3ingiro for the flower ID!)

This is the flower of the caper. To make the capers that we eat, you harvest the bud before this beautiful flower blooms.

Ornamental pomegranate

Oleander (highly poisonous, beware!)

Canna lilly. We have had an invasion of these this year!

Lavender

I'm impressed that all of this is blooming in your yard without any effort from you, maybe even a bit jealous.

Happy Independence Day :)

Dana - I have to admit that my husband waters sporadically, but that's about all. Happy 4th to you, too!
