My husband and younger son just got back from a two-day father and son adventure. They took off yesterday morning on the motorcycle for a trip to the Gargano peninsula - the spur on the heel of the Italian boot.
Ready to roll! |
Yum! |
Then a detour to the waterpark . . . G forgot his bathing suit at home. Good thing they're both guys and somebody brought an extra suit!
A stopover at Caseificio dei Pini, where they make mozzarella from buffalo milk, is an absolute must.
A man and his motorcycle |
Then finally, arrival at destination and a well-deserved dip in the sea.
See you back here tomorrow for photos of the gorgeous beach scenery and the rather less than gorgeous campsite.

what a great, great adventure - though I'd argue that the best focaccia in the world. is the focaccia ligure here :)
What a terrific Dad! G. will always remember the trip!
Wow...wish I could go! I'd love to make mozzarella!
Looks like a great road trip. And the destination - even better! How lucky you are to live in Italy! I want to go there someday!
So cool! Gotta love a father-son weekend. My husband and oldest son have a father-son camping trip planned for October. It's all my son talks about! Quick (silly) question... you have buffalo in Italy?? The more I read and blog, the more stupid I feel :)
Wow, I'm jealous! Is that a BMW your hubby is riding? (Hard to tell for sure in the photo.) We have a Honda Valkyrie that we like to go cruising on, plus hubby has another large bike that he rides (too much vibration for me LOL). We're planning a week long trip next month, but not sure where we're going yet. Sure wish we could take the trip your husband and son too! Thanks for sharing, Saretta!
Hugs,
Shirley
That looks like such an amazing father/son trip!
What a cool trip for them. I would love to try some of the best focaccia in the world.
What a fun trip!
So fun!

Francesca - degustibus! :-)
Anon - I think so!
Cirklagirl - I don't think I'd want to get that close to a buffalo!
Mommyslounge - it's a great country to visit, so much beauty to see!
Alison - I think the buffalo are imported.
gfe - actually, it's an Aprilia Pegaso Cube. Enjoy your upcoming trip, wherever you go!
Lindsay - they had a great time!
Jessica - that focaccia is waiting for you here in Puglia!
Natalie - they would agree with you!
Carrie - you bet!
That sounds like an awesome father-son adventure....loving all the photos they took along the way...
