That's never happened to me, but only because I've been lucky. Every time I've put a bottle of something in the freezer and forgotten it, I've had to retrieve something else from in there before it was too late.

I have done that soooo many times. With champagne it's even worse, because there's more of it!

I've done that with plastic water bottles. At least they only stretch!
